There is another alternative to the idea that symmetry and beauty in mathematics imply god. Perhaps symmetry and beauty in mathematics, and other things, imply the sacredness and beauty of existence. I would agree with that. I think the Spinozist position is far more mature and insightful than than the search for a god. In other words, god is all things, and there is no distinct skydaddy in the clouds bringing universes into being and designing your equation.
